's such a waste of all the time and energy and dreams that she had and we'll never know what she could have done. >> reporter: dreams cut short monday on what was supposed to be a day of fun watching the boston marathon with two friends. she was standing at the finish line when two bombs went off. her roommate posts this message saying she's still not home yet and i can't contact her. everyone is worried. that post sparked a gloebl social media search. >> everyone's like reposting the status and trying to help her roommate to find her. >> reporter: one friend went to the hospital. her other friend unharmed. >> one of her friends who was with her that day went to get coffee at that moment. >> the third friend went to get coffee at the time the bombs went off. >> yes. exactly. that's why she's still alive. >> reporter: sadness tuesday afternoon after word spread lu was the third victim of the bombings. bu's close-knit chinese community is feeling a loss of one of their own. >> we are really far away from home and we don't have parents or any relatives here. so i mean for them, we are the familiar.
, the bombings, a lot of negative energy if they want to feed off of it. what do you think? >> at this point, stocks rebounding, down 96 points. before the bell rang, there was a moment of silence to honor the victims of the bombing in boston. a sign of solidarity and support. and the new york stock exchange did this after newtown. it always happens before 9:30, the idea is to not disrupt trading, in an event like what happened in boston happens, you really want to see the markets function normally. you do see a rebound happen, triple digit sell-off yesterday. there was some upbeat economic news that come out giving the markets a boost. housing markets continue to show it's recovering. inflation report came out, showing inflation is tame. and we're seeing markets overseas recovering too. that's good news as well. wall street at this point, the way it sees it, the bombings really didn't grow into a much worse situation. part of the reason you saw that sell-off yesterday, it was that uncertainty. is this going to grow? the only city where this will happen? investors certainly had that knee jer

butterfly. she was full of energy and life. and her family was her center. hur uncle's home was always the place where her friends and family congregated when they were there. kenasha was the center of all of her family's life. after exiting a local restaurant, she and her boyfriend got into their car. i know their car pulled up beside them, blocked them as they were going into a parking space, and a man shot at their car, shot kenasha in the face. she died shortly thereafter at age 16 years old. this was in florida on february 24 of this year. she was going to the local high school, and she wasn't the first victim of gun violence in recent months. in december two high school classmates of hers kobe delson and vidalia were killed in a murder-suicide, killed in a two-month, three-month period of time. christopher walker was 19 years old. he was shot on march 12 of this year in milton, georgia. it was an attempted robbery. he was a marketing student at georgia perimeter college. he had just been accepted into kennesaw state university for the upcoming semester. it's a big deal. he had be
